I provide a range of nonprofit conservation consulting services, all geared to providing doable and inspired plans and efficient support to advance your conservation project, organization, or collaboration. 

Strategic Planning

I offer three phases to ensure a  final plan that succeeds in guiding your team to achieve your shared vision.

1. Assessments of stakeholders and the organization to set the best stage for planning.
2. Design and facilitation of a retreat to ensure we build a  plan that is realistic and inspired.
3. Implementation support such as more detailed plans and/or operational changes to ensure the plan is a living tool.

Virtual Events

In these Covid times, converting in-person conferences and meetings to online convenings has become a necessity. I can help you plan an online event that is engaging, supports robust discussions and/or decision making, and accomplishes your goals. I have experience in converting events and know a range of tools, tactics, and approaches to Help your team adapt your plans and achieve your desired outcomes.

Communications Development

My approach is to assess current communications and provide you with the plans, baseline tools and training to reach, influence and build relationships with target audiences. I offer expert help with branding or rebranding, message development, and communication planning. I design and lead interactive and fun trainings and offer coaching. I ensure your efforts use a range of tools (digital and traditional) that work for your audiences and your organization.

Project Management

If you need someone for a start-up moment or limited duration project, I am highly adept at understanding your goals, co-designing a new project or program, and implementing the project to achieve  successful outcomes. My conservation experience spans educational, collaborative, advocacy, outreach, and operational projects.

Collaborative Development

Stakeholder processes don't have to be painful. I help collaborations launch with good stakeholder assessments, build trust and open communication among members, and provide clear structures for making decisions, planning, and implementation. I emphasize stakeholder satisfaction, progress, and accountability. ​

Recent Support I've Provided  

• Helped convert two in-person conferences to a successful series of engaging videoconference sessions, earning high marks from the hosting organizations and participants.
• Led strategic planning  effort with staff and board
• Helped design and hold multi-day interactive planning sessions with external partners 
• Supported program directors in identifying evolving program needs, and then led recruitment and hiring process to fill new staff positions.
• Facilitated a collaborative's multi-stakeholder communication planning and provided training to launch their new effort.
• Created new systems and protocols that helped teams better coordinate their work together

I know resources and time are limited and am honored when I am selected to provide professional consulting support to an organization working for the environment, justice and sustainable communities.
